Pharmaceutical Advertising Rules

Direct-to-consumer prescription drug advertising is legal only in the United States and New Zealand and is regulated by the FDA, which requires fair balance and major statement of risks. Health targeting is restricted by HIPAA, state laws on health data (Washington's My Health My Data Act), and platform policies.
