Agencies, PR and public affairs firms, and in-house marketing teams bring me in for the work they don't keep on staff, and for the work they want run by someone who has done it at scale. Everything on the services list applies to your clients the way it applies to a brand: paid media across every channel, search and GEO, public affairs advertising, lead generation, analytics, copy, and the AI tools. It goes out under your name or mine, on your paper or mine, with the terms in writing before the first invoice.

Some firms need more than a campaign. They need the department. At a Washington public affairs firm I built the digital practice from under $1 million a year in client spend to more than $50 million, and the team from one person to eighteen, every one of them hired and trained by me. I can build the same inside your firm, in paid media, search and GEO, analytics, or AI tooling. The people, the process, the platform and vendor contracts, and the reporting, stood up over a season and then handed over, or kept running on a retainer.

Pitches in a niche go better with a specialist in the room. Public affairs and advocacy, crypto and fintech, health and pharma, luxury, AI companies, and other regulated categories each have their own rules, inventory, and buyers who can tell when an agency is guessing. I write the media strategy and the plan, price it, and present it with you, or hand it to you to present as your own. When you win, I can run the account or train your team to run it.

The other way in is a fractional head of paid media. A set number of days a month, I run the planning, review every account, sit in the client meetings that need a senior buyer, and raise the standard of the people around me. Twenty years in, I am still looking for someone to learn this craft from. Until I find them, I am the one teaching it, and the teams I train keep the habits after I leave.

The record is public. More than $1B in paid media across 56 countries, a place among the first ten Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer agencies in the world, a $50M practice built from nothing, and a seat on the IAB Terms and Conditions Task Force. Most partnerships start with one client and one defined piece of work. A partner's client stays the partner's client, and nothing is named anywhere without both of us agreeing in writing.

Quick answers

Your name

Can you work under our agency's name?

Yes. Plans, decks, and reporting can go out in your template, and I can join calls as part of your team. When naming a specialist helps the pitch, I come in as Agency Echelon, and you decide how I'm introduced.

Contracts

Do you subcontract, or pay a referral fee?

Both, depending on where the client relationship sits. On your paper, your firm marks up my fee. On mine, you receive a referral fee. Either way the terms are in writing before the first invoice, and a partner's client stays the partner's client.

Departments

What does building a department involve?

Hiring and training the team, choosing the platforms and vendors, setting up the account structures and the reporting, and running the first clients through it. I built one from under $1M to more than $50M a year in client spend and from one person to eighteen. It takes about a season, after which you own it or I keep running it on a retainer.

Fractional

How does a fractional engagement work?

A set number of days a month at a fixed monthly fee. I run the planning, review every account, sit in the client meetings that need a senior buyer, and train the team as we go. Media I buy is billed on separate lines.
