A platform-administered incrementality study in which the platform randomly holds out a share of the target audience and reports the difference in conversions. Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon, and Pinterest all offer versions, usually above a spend minimum. Results are trustworthy on their own terms but are run by the party being measured, so the advertiser should keep its own copy of the design.
