Learning Phase
The period after a campaign or ad set is created or significantly edited during which a platform's automated bidding gathers data and performance is unstable. Meta defines it as roughly 50 optimization events in 7 days; Google describes a similar period for Smart Bidding. Frequent edits reset it, which is why platform guidance favors fewer, larger campaigns and patience.
